NovaStation: A Supernova keyboard?

Novation will maybe release a Supernova Keyboard ! YES ! Check out http://www.nova-uk.com for a picture - no specs yet.
IMHO the greatest feature of the forthcoming OS 3 : The Supernova ASM engine has been improved to produce 20 (expanded: 44) voices instead of 16 (expanded: 32)

Two weeks and counting … according to the guys at Novation existing Supernova owners will be made “very happy” on the Musikmesse 99. Some rumours are floating that beyond of the improvements which are announced on Novations page, we will indeed see new oscillator waveforms, new filter models, new effect algorithms, no more clicks(!) and maybe… maybe some portions of the 64-band-vocoder introduced in the Nova.

The cat is out of the bag! Despite all floating rumours which claimed that Novation will introduce an expanded version of the Supernova, Novation showed a somehow stripped-down version of the Supernova - the Nova. The Nova has 12 voices of the same architecture as the Supernova, stores 2 banks of 128 programs and 1 bank of 128 performances, has 6 parts (including an arpeggiator and 7 effects for each part). It is not a rack unit, has 20 knobs and lots of buttons. One thing where the Nova is better than the Supernova: It has 2 analog inputs which can be used as oscillators. Great! The price will be approximately the half of a 16 voice Supernova. Overall, this is good news for us Supernova owners. It means that Novation still feels commited to this line and we definately will see OS 3 after the Musikmesse 1999.
