MidiCore
MidiCore was one of my first C++ projects after moving from Pascal. It wraps the basic MIDI input and output functions of winmm.lib / mmsystem.dll, with a dialog for choosing MIDI drivers.
The source records its creation on 29 August 1995 and a SysEx/thread-synchronisation addition on 11 September 1995. The surviving web page was captured in May 1997.
Downloads
- Original source ZIP, 7 KB — six C++/MFC source and resource files, unchanged.
- Preservation package — the original ZIP, separately recovered header and implementation, and the project page with its original usage/credit notice.
The ZIP contains MIDICORE.CPP, MIDICORE.H, SELECTDR.CPP, SELECTDR.H, RESOURCE.H and MIDICORE.RC. Its integrity has been checked; this is the historical source, not a newly tested Windows build.
