• A late X-Mas present: Supernova SoundDiver adaption 0.4 beta 1 in downloads - now supporting the dependancy management with a performance edit buffer under construction
• We're now over 150 people on the mailing list.

• Nothing special happend. There are a few new things in downloads - check them and please report on success with untested items.
• We're going to compose a wishlist for OS 4 soon - start thinking, we need some good & reasonable suggestions.

• A beta version of OS 3.1 (Supernova only) has been released - including the complete set of programs and performances.

10 09 1999

• Tadaaa! <insert tadaa.wav here...> - Believe it or not - OS 3 has been completed and is downloadable - The factory presets are not yet complete and will be online in a few days. The OS review page has been updated.

• I'm back from a short city vacation - Munich - a nice town. If you happen to be in germany, don't forget to visit the Deutsche Musem, the SIEMENS Museum and the BWM Museum in Munich!
• A Cakewalk instrument file for the Nova is now available in downloads

• OS3 is due soon (really :-) - and not much later, OS 3.1 will appear.
• User manuals for the Supernova and the Nova can now be downloaded at www.nova-uk.com

• The Novation chat forum which used to be accessed through www.nova-uk.com has been incorporated into NovaStation. You can also access it through www.dancetech.com, because the databases are synchronized. Hopefully there's now as much traffic as it was before.

• My presentation project is finished. I'm less busy now. :-)
• The OS 3 review has been updated to reflect the changes (and the new sounds!) introduced with OS 3 beta 10

• Novation will maybe release a Supernova Keyboard ! YES ! Check out http://www.nova-uk.com for a picture - no specs yet.
• IMHO the greatest feature of the forthcoming OS 3 : The Supernova ASM engine has been improved to produce 20 (expanded: 44) voices instead of 16 (expanded: 32)

24 02 1999

• Two weeks and counting ... according to the guys at Novation existing Supernova owners will be made "very happy" on the Musikmesse 99. Some rumours are floating that beyond of the improvements which are announced on Novations page, we will indeed see new oscillator waveforms, new filter models, new effect algorithms, no more clicks(!) and maybe... maybe some portions of the 64-band-vocoder introduced in the Nova.

The cat is out of the bag! Despite all floating rumours which claimed that Novation will introduce an expanded version of the Supernova, Novation showed a somehow stripped-down version of the Supernova - the Nova. The Nova has 12 voices of the same architecture as the Supernova, stores 2 banks of 128 programs and 1 bank of 128 performances, has 6 parts (including an arpeggiator and 7 effects for each part). It is not a rack unit, has 20 knobs and lots of buttons. One thing where the Nova is better than the Supernova: It has 2 analog inputs which can be used as oscillators. Great! The price will be approximately the half of a 16 voice Supernova. Overall, this is good news for us Supernova owners. It means that Novation still feels commited to this line and we definately will see OS 3 after the Musikmesse 1999.

• Happy new year! This page hasn't been updated for quite a while... why ? Quite simply the lack of news!
• OS 3 has been delay once more. See the Supernova OS
• Novation will show a new device ( we don't know what - so don't ask ! ) on the NAMM show.
