1. Installing the Adaption

MAC OS: Place the downloaded supernova.ada into the diver folder of your SoundDiver installation. Adjust the creator and the file type correctly (resedit or seperate tool). Assign the file type to EM7F and the creator to EMA6. Start SoundDiver and install the device with the scan function.

WINDOWS: Place the downloaded supernova.ada into the diver folder of your SoundDiver installation. Start SoundDiver and install the device with the scan function.

2. Known Issues

GENERAL: adaption designed for the Supernova 20. The Supernova Pro will work also - there might be some quirks, because dependancy management does not yet work with the 44 model! The Nova could work also... I don't know, I don't have one. Tell Novation to borrow me a Nova, if you want support. The same applies to the Supernova II.

GLOBAL: no editor yet (might change)

ARPEGGIATOR: no editor yet (might change), no ROM patterns (no SysEx strings available for this, won't change), dependancy management doesn't know ROM patterns, incorrect dependancy when using ROM patterns will occur. This won't be changed - you've got to live with it.

PROGRAM: no editor yet (might change, if Novation provides full SysEx information)

PERFORMANCE: editor under construction. Sustain parameter won't work (custom data type format which is not supported by SoundDiver). Please report other errors.

0.1: initial private release - memory manager featuring librarion functions for program banks A-D

0.2: first public release - performance banks A-B and automatic scanning with universal device inquiry

0.3: expanded for supernova PRO model with program banks E-H and performance banks C-D

0.35: single program request & single performance request implemented (needs Supernova OS 3 or greater). Fixed a bug preventing automatic detection of global channel <> 1.

0.37: performance edit buffer and eight part edit buffers. performance/program dependancy management implemented

0.38: performance editor for 4 parts completed

0.39: added arpeggiator RAM bank and arpeggiator edit buffer. memory manager layout changed (for later support of Supernova PRO dependancy management). added arpeggiator tempo in performance editor

0.4: added the 4 remaining parts in the performance editor. This is untested, because I sold my Supernova prior to doing this.

Supernova SoundDiver adaption is (C) 1998-2000 by Michael 'Mickey' Lauer. Free Distribution allowed, but you have to include this file. You're free to modify and enhance this adaption - I stopped working on it - but please respect my work and include credits.
